FAQ
What are your current fees?

Individual psychotherapy: $220 for a 50 minutes session.

Family and Couples therapy: $330 for a 75 minutes session.

I ask that payment be made at the beginning of each therapy session, unless we have made other arrangements.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

I offer a limited number of lower fee slots for clients in need. Please feel free to contact me if you'd like to discuss availability.

Do you work with Insurance?

I am considered an 'out of network' provider and do not directly bill insurance companies.

However, I can provide you with a statement for you to submit to your insurance company.

Please check with your insurance company for your specific benefits.

What will therapy cost?

You have the right to receive a 'Good Faith Estimate' explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

I am happy to provide any and all information that helps with understanding and anticipating any costs associated with working with me. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

What can therapy do for me?

Therapy can bring lots of benefits with it .Some report it improved their quality of life, for others it helped with the resolution of concerns, and for some it contributed to their personal-growth. This does not mean though this process is always easy. At times we can find ourselves dealing with difficult feelings and issues, but it is important to remember how rewarding it can be.

To increase the effectiveness of the process try to attend our sessions every week and arrive on time (Of course I always take into account that life happens, I'm human too!).

Some of the benefits of therapy are:

• Seeing our thoughts and behaviors from a different perspective

• Providing ourselves with a dedicated time for reflection

• Improving relationships with our loved ones

• Feeling less alone with our struggles

• Confronting our emotions in a safe space

• Gaining greater self-awareness

• Improving our overall well-being

Is therapy confidential?

Confidentiality is one of the most important components in the therapeutic relationship.

Clients in therapy have a legally protected right for confidentiality, except in situations described by Federal and Californian Law. Limits for confidentiality are described in a Consent for Treatment Form and in HIPPA Notice of Privacy Practices. You will receive those forms and discuss the limits of confidentiality at your first visit.
